New in my collection:....Cyd Charisse was never known as a great actress but she is capable in her role as a feisty Show Girl, and she gets a good opportunity to show off perhaps the most eye-popping, perfectly sculpted figure in the history of motion pictures. And of course, nobody was better at playing hot-tempered thugs than the great Lee J. Cobb.

This groundbreaking Vadim film made Ms. Bardot the hottest sex symbol on the planet back in 1956. Vadim was never much of a director, but he had great taste in women (Bardot, Deneuve, J. Fonda). Brigitte Bardot is a knockout as a spoiled and selfish 20 y/o who doesn't seem to know what she wants, but all the men want HER! No one walks down a street like Ms. Bardot. Beautiful location and good p...

It was lushly made (Warners Brothers spared no expense on this one) and there's some great music here LOVE the piano solos that Astor is supposedly playing. Brent is good in his role handsome and intelligent. Davis is (as always) good she ALMOST overdoes it but is pulled back. Astor is GREAT she des...

Fabulous dancer and entertainer! This was in the middle of WWII. (1912-1982) From IMDb: "Eleanor Powell was born in 1912 in Springfield, Massachussetts, and got her professional start in Atlantic City clubs, from where she moved into in revue in New York at the Ritz Grill and Casino de Paris at the age of sixteen. She started her career on Broadway in 1929, where her machine-gun foot work gained her the title of world champion in tapping. In 1935 she came to Hollywood where she starred in the great MGM musicals in the late 1930s, establishing herself as a Queen of Ra-Ta-Taps. In spite of the fact that she was primarily a solo performer she also danced with Fred Astaire."

Y SI NO ENTENDIERON EL POR QUE DE PONER UNA PIEDRA SOBRE LA TUMBA: ES COSTUMBRE JUDIA DEL TIEMPO DEL ANTIGUO TESTAMENTO, ENTONCES, NO HABIA CEMENTERIOS, Y SE ENTERRABA ALOS MUERTOS , ENVUELTOS EN TELAS , U PARA EVITAR QUE LOS ANIMALES CARRONIRTOS LOS DESENTERRARAN Y COMIERAN. SE PONIAN GRANDES PIEDRAS Y TODO EL QUE PASABA COLOCABA UNA PIEDRA MAS . ES UN SIMBOLO DE RESPETO AL DIFUNTO. Y SI, TODAVIA SEGUIMOS ESA COSTUMBRE, EN ESPECIAL, EN TODA TUMBA DEL QUE AYUDO A SALVAR VIDAS , ES NUESTRA FORMA DE AGRADECER Y HONRAR SU MEMORIA. ES POSIBLE PERDONAR , PERO OLVIDAR, JAMAS.

First of all, so called "Margaret Dumont" wasn't her real name. There was nothing wrong with her actual birth name, Daisy Juliette Baker. She obviously "sold out" her birth name because of the shallowness of the entertainment industry?! Most likely the change was made as the result of a greedy Business Manager or Studio, with perceived notions of greater recognition accompanied with monetary gains? Secondly and in reality, it's also shows blatant disrespect for one's parents & their family heritage, just to possibly obtain (not necessarily earn) a greater buck?!
